Thoughts On Bethel & All Associated With Them

Image
After having been approached and dealing with people about it, and being asked doctrinal issues about it by others as well as those in my own personal life over many years regarding the ministry of Bethel Church in Redding, California and churches associated with it (some of which I have and used to personally attend), I have debated back and forth over how I would attempt to address the issues at hand and discuss some of the most serious problems that I have with the ministries like Bethel, Blue Flame 47, and all others associated with these ministries. I hope to only be sharing the truth on this and as far as a rebuke, yes this is somewhat that but at the same time, I believe that you the reader must be the one to make up in your mind for yourself about whether or not what I say is true and applies to you and these ministries. If it does and you feel convicted, run far and leave it behind (I would say run to Eastern Orthodoxy but that’s my bias coming out. At the very least I wish

Thoughts on Sinfulness and Claiming Sinless Perfection

Image
--------- I am definitely not a sinless person. I need his grace and mercy every day and acknowledge that I can be extremely sinful. I'm not vain enough to say I have no sin. Through Christ I am saved, am being saved, and will be saved. Life is a journey and we are the journeyman traveling through it. Passions are not easy to break and sanctification doesn't just happen in entirety the moment Christ comes in. It's a gradual progression to holiness instead. And a tough road that requires a lot of confession and continual repentance hence why every day I try to pray at least once "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner" even if I don't think I've sinned that day. I suggest everyone else take this mindset in case you've unknowingly sinned against God and require his mercy and grace which we all do. We are "joint heirs with Christ" (Romans 8:17) and everything Christ is by nature the Father gives to us by grace.

Thoughts on the Hebrew Roots Movement

In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away (Hebrews 8:13). -Christ's covenant solves the problems that Moses' could not. Both covenants come from God's Grace and requires man's willed response. However, Moses' covenant (1) is external to man and can't solve the root of man's problems, sin and death; (2) can't reunite and reintegrate man's soul; (3) is learned by teaching; (4) is heeded with fearful compliance; and (5) gives imperfect forgiveness. Christ's covenant (1) is internal and heals our nature; (2) unifies the inner man - heart and mind are joined in union with God; (3) is therefore grasped intuitively; (4) is heeded with willing cooperation (synergy); and (5) gives perfect forgiveness, even of those sins the old covenant was powerless to deal with (Orthodox Study Bible pg. 1662)- I believe that Hebrew Roots Movement (I'll be abbrevia

The Origin Of Dispensationalism & The Roman Catholic Influence of John Hagee From Manuel Lacunza

Dispensationalism is an eschatology (also known as end times beliefs) found in circles of Christian theology. It reflects a view that biblical history is best understood as a series of dispensations, or separated time-periods in the Bible, and uses this to interpret bible prophecies. This is the popular view today and is the majority view of most Christians in America, especially Evangelicals when it comes to their preferred viewpoint of what the prophecies found in the bible mean. Among their most popular teachers, there is one named John Hagee; a bible teacher of this eschatology. Hagee is a pastor of a megachurch in San Antonio, Texas and an author of many bestsellers which mainly focus on the current nation of Israel and its place in Christian eschatology. Hagee prides himself on being a staunch opponent of Roman Catholicism and consistently has shown himself to be anti-Roman Catholic (theologically speaking) through his sermons. In many of his books he goes so far as to claim tha

Dispensationalism's Origins

Dispensationalism is a very popular eschatology today and is the majority view of most Christians in America. Defining it as “…the name suggests, dispensationalists believe that God deals with humanity through a series of distinct periods. Although they differ on the exact number of these eras, most believe that there are seven dispensations including innocence, conscience or moral responsibility, human government, promise, the law, the church, and the Millennium. In each of these ages there is a unique revelation of the divine will, and humankind is tested by obedience to this standard. The 7th dispensation, the Millennium, is inaugurated by the return of Christ in two stages: the 1st, a secret rapture, which removes the Church before the Great Tribulation devastates the earth; and the 2nd, Christ’s coming with the Church to establish the kingdom. The Jews have a prominent place in these events and by the time the Millennium is established most of them are converted to Christ. During
